The paneling on the wall needs to be replaced, this is on hold right now, floor first. We are getting good use from the Roll of dumpster, this is the first level of floor and a freezer. Two other Brothers, SORRY I did not get the Lodge or one of their names, but Bro. Ken Gibala loaned us TWO special air cleaners the remove air-bourn bacteria, these will among other things help kill mold. There is one upstairs and one downstairs. Bro. Ken Bibala is a independent dealer for EcoQuest International "Health Living Technologies" jkg4902@hotmail.com www.ecoquestintl.com The borrowed ditch which from www.MyPlumber.com did not work out the first day, so My Plumber let me borrow a small backhoe the second day.
Saturday July 01 2006 Thanks for all the help from brethren Bro. Luis Pages Acacia There is a sign-in sheet at the Lodge, please make sure you put your name and lodge name if you visit. If you drop off any items please use tape and pen at lodge to put your name and lodge on all items. On Saturday afternoon 07-01-06 a local woman from Clifton stopped by and dropped off a case of water bottles for us. She said she wanted to help! Look how bad the supports are, They have slipped out of place. More pictures of the crawlspace, the river of water has caused the foundation supports to fail, we MUST have a new foundation NOW! If that muddy bottle in the picture is old, I want it :-) Shows the gap between the floor and wall after removing two layers of flooring that had been put down one of top of anther, over the past many years. We are now down to the original floor. Yes, I am hold the camera straight, it is the door that is not square. What a surprise it was to remove the paneling and find this VERY OLD wall paper. A guess on the age is 60 years. About five days have passed since the flood waters have receded and the floors are still soaked. We sure did full up the 22 foot long trash dumpster that holds 30 yards. We now need tracks and or trailers to get the rest of the trash Shows a gap letting light in from the outside where the wall does not meet the floor do to the supports for the foundation failing, the building is sinking, we need a new foundation. Doorway into the bathroom addition, it was put in where a window use to be. Still need to remove paneling from walls in the bathroom addition. Brick chimney needs to be removed. Thanks for all the help from brethren Bro. Bill Robinson Acacia There is a sign-in sheet at the Lodge, please make sure you put your name and lodge name if you visit. If you drop off any items please use tape and pen at lodge to put your name and lodge on all items. The vent in the attic has no screen, large birds, etc. can get in. Chimney in attic as it goes through the roof, hard to see in the pictures, besides the many bee's, there is a gap that lets rain water in, we need to remove this, its not needed and the flood waters have weekend the support base holding it up, this is causing stress of the building. I do not believe the electrical wiring in the attic, I have never seen this OLD of wiring before, and we still use it, these old wires power the lights up stairs in the Lodge Room. We could stand to upgrade this. We need to removed that old non-working fan way down there at the other end of the attic. it is a big eyesore seen from outside on the south end. Bro. Troy Payne let us borrow his trailer. This is cool, it is double axel and will hold 6 tons and is a hydraulic auto dump, push a button and it tilts up to dump. Bro. Troy Payne owns Colonial Kettle Corn We had to remove and put back both sinks to remove the wet paneling and moldy drywall We still have moldy drywall that needs to be removed. We have taken out some of the moldy drywall and fiberglass on the lower half, we should removed all of it. Ceiling of bathroom addition, you can see more bees back in there. that is sunlight coming in, large gap letting rain water in between the main building and bathrooms There are active bees nests in the bathroom addition. that is sunlight coming in, large gap letting rain water in between the main building and bathrooms mold on walls and there is a large gap letting rain water in between the main building and bathrooms Monday July 03 2006 We apologize to the Brethren who showed on Monday the 3rd at 10am and the ones at noon who found no one there and the door locked. 10:am Bro's Ralph Smith and Bob Williams with Vac Noon Bro. Rhea Solomon with ladder and power tools. After removing the paneling off the walls in the addition these signatures were found, they date back to the 1970's. This part of the wall needs to be cut out and saved. Details are forthcoming We need to contact the CBA. The banks of the creek behind the Lodge are washing away, one tree as fallen and other is about to fall, the pole guide wire is affected and land erosion is taking place. The erosion will eventually if not sooner affect our property. The emergency Building Committee meeting took place. The camera lens is clean, that is how much dust there was! Roof repair after removing chimney. Bro. Troy Payne fixing hole in roof. After removing the attic fan in the attic we found the original windows and vents, Bro. Troy Payne is going to restore then and reinstall at a later date. The outside of the Lodge looks a lot better without the attic fan. While taking down the old attic fan, we found these very old aluminum printing sheets. They date back to about 1950. Sunday July 09 2006 I (William Baumbach) expect this to be my last day of major work for me at the Lodge. I have done all the big projects I felt I needed to do. So I leave the rest to others. It has been great working with you ALL, THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH! We have done about all we can do without a lot of money.
