After 12 inches of torrential rain over four days June 23-26 2006 Popes Head Creek in the town of Clifton, Va. over-flowed its banks and Acacia Lodge No. 16 was in it's path, as the water level against rose to 17 inches on the outside, Acacia did all she could to keep the water out but she could not withstand the nonstop force of the raising flowing creek water, leaving in its wake a lot of damage!

Outside the water flowed under the crawlspace washing out the dirt from around the supports for the foundation, this has caused Acacia to sink.

Inside the water level rose to 5.5 inches at the North end and 4.5 inches on the South East corner, damaging the floors and walls.

The Lodge sat over a swimming pool of water for days; the two-foot crawlspace was full of muddy creek water.

The foundation must now be replaced and the floors and walls repaired.
